From the 10th April 2011 Snakes Alive has been managed and owned by LizardLinks UK, a family company run by Daniel, Peter and Susan Hepplewhite.
Snakes Alive was run for many years by Glen and his wife. In this time they accumulated many reptiles and established a wonderful reputation performing children’s parties, animal hire for photo shoots and educational talks. As they wished to retire they happily sold the business and their animals to Lizardlinks UK. This transition featured on the Channel 5 documentary series ‘Essex Jungle’ (episode 4) which aired April 2011.
Lizardlinks UK was set up in 2008 originally offering reptile, amphibian, insect, parrot and small animal boarding 
for those that require specialist animal care when on holiday or for respite periods. However, as our private collection of interesting exotic animals grew we found more and more people curious about our collection and thus decided to branch into providing animals at events, displays and parties. When Snakes Alive approached us about buying their business it was ideal as we were gaining more events and required a wider range of reptiles that were used to being handled and being based in Essex meant we could also uphold continuing arrangements.
