Whether you run a social organization, such as a Women’s Institute or are part of your own local reptile club we are happy to bring a selection of our animals and provide various informational presentations.
We are happy to educate people on these often misunderstood and feared animals in the hope they are able to make informed decisions about the treatment of these animals in the wild and in captivity. Our main topics of discussion cover their habitats and adaptations, their life in the wild, keeping reptiles in captivity and exploring our own native British reptiles.
Unlike many presentations we always enable participants to get hands on with the animals to further appreciate their beauty and often to help people overcome their own fears and inhibitions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What animals do you bring? We have a range of snakes, lizards, amphibians, insects and arachnids. We always supply a range of animals suitable for the age group to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn.

Are the animals harmful? We do not use any venomous animals and never leave the animals unattended. Children are not allowed to handle some animals to avoid any harm from potential irritant and to protect delicate species from harm. Any animal can be unpredictable in their behaviour so we always ask that children are kept calm and supervised throughout our presentations and any pets to be kept in another room.
Is it safe to touch the animals? Hygiene is also of the upmost importance to both our audience and animals so we strongly encourage all participants to wash their hands before and after encounters and no food to be consumed near or during the presentation. We provide alcohol based hand sanitizer at all of our displays and latex gloves if certain animals are being displayed. A copy of our general Risk Assessment is available upon request.
Do we need to provide anything? All we ask is that we have access to a table to put the animals on and a power socket in order to heat the animals if necessary.
Will you leave the animals with us to use for our own discussions? Whilst we are happy to supply animals for use with your own talks or presentations we will not leave these unattended at any setting. Please feel free to contact us if you would be interested in keeping a collection of mini-beasts at your setting, such as cockroaches, snails or mealworms, as we can advise and supply a suitable enclosure, a number of animals for an existing set-up or both.

Do you cater for those with additional needs? Yes, we always aim to adapt our presentations to suit the needs of the audience. Please inform us of any requirements prior to booking so that we can discuss arrangements.

What if someone has a phobia of snakes or spiders? We can provide preliminary information on the animals prior to the encounters and will provide nervous participants with the opportunity to approach the animals in their own time or distance themselves during presentations.
