A unique and captivating addition to a themed or children’s party, this hands-on experience will leave lasting memories and enjoyment for all, from as little as £100.
To each party we bring around 10 different animals from a range of snakes, lizards, tortoises, spiders, scorpions, newts, frogs, salamanders and interesting insects. Shows last around 60-90 minutes and involve a mixture of informative discussion and interactive encounters.
It is not just children that enjoy our reptile experience we can also provide our animals for use with grown-up parties. For added excitement we can also supply a number of edible bugs for you to recreate your own jungle themed challenges.
Snakes Alive carries full public liability insurance cover and staff are CRB checked.

How long do the parties last? Parties last 60 to 90 minutes.
What animals do you bring? We have a range of snakes, lizards, insects and amphibians including pythons, monitors, scorpions, tarantulas and normally bring around 10 animals. If you have expressed an interest for a particular animal to attend we do try to accommodate this but we may need to remove animals from show if they have recently eaten, are sloughing or are unwell.

Are the animals safe, are any of them harmful? We do not use any venomous animals and never leave the animals unattended. Any animal can be unpredictable in their behaviour so we always ask that children are kept calm and supervised throughout our presentations and any pets to be kept in another room. Hygiene is also of the upmost importance to both our audience and animals so we strongly encourage all participants to wash their hands before and after encounters and no food is to be consumed near or during the presentation. We provide alcohol based hand sanitizer at all of our displays and latex gloves if certain insects are being displayed. A copy of our general Risk Assessment is available upon request.
What does the show consist of? After an introduction to each of the species participating there will be an opportunity to get close and encounter the animals. In some circumstances this will be adapted to suit the age and size of the audience.
What is a suitable age range for parties? We have experienced groups from 2-3 year olds to adults, so as long as there is an interest we do not discriminate.
What group size do you cater for? Whilst we are happy to cater for any number you need to consider the space of the venue and the time if allowing each guest to encounter all the animals. We recommend that 10-20 guests is most appropriate.
Do you cater for children with additional needs? Yes, we are happy to cater for children or adults with additional needs. Please inform us of any requirements prior to booking so that we can discuss arrangements.
Can I hold a party at my house? Yes, we will provide parties at home locations and in hired venues, such as halls.
Do we need to provide anything? All we ask is that we have access to a table to put the animals on and a power socket in order to heat the animals if necessary. We will supply covers for flooring but we recommend that if you are concerned about any furnishings or flooring getting soiled that you take your own precautions prior to our arrival.
Do you provide party bags or presents? We do not currently provide party bags but we do have a range of party bag fillers available to order. We are also offering 25% off animal adoption when you book a party and our invitations can be downloaded free of charge.
